Premier Inn Newcastle (Washington) hotel

Newly refurbished premier inn. Rooms nice and comfortable with modern decor. Although no heating in the bathrooms so difficult to dry towels and can be a bit cold in winter. Service excellent and staff very helpful. Location is just off the A1 and close to shopping centre for amenities. We stop here when visiting Beamish Museum as only 15mins away.

Easy to find with Google maps We found Hotel to be extremely clean, spotlessly tidy, and without fault everything as brand new. Staff friendly and helpful. This must be the best Premier Inn I’ve stayed in, and I’ve been in a few. From moment we walked in the door we were greeted by a staff member that was friendly and informative. Check-in process was smooth and quick. Security is great as you can only access the stairs or lift with a room card. Rooms were clean (even under the beds!). The breakfasts were fresh and plentiful and again, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Made to feel very welcome and as if nothing was too much trouble. Great location just off the A1(M) - if you have an EV this is probably the easiest place to recharge as there are rapid chargers here. I’d recommend this location and would happily stay again.
