Much appreciation to Edelweiss Tours Salzburg for making our visit to Dachstein Giant Ice Cave and 5 Finger Viewing Platform a great experience. They even offered to drop us off In Hallstatt for our next overnight stay. Our chauffeur/guide Siva was exceptional! He was very knowledgeable with a great variety of information about Austria along the way.

Our family had an absolutely fantastic tour of the Lakes District in Salzburg! Shiva was extremely knowledgeable (seriously.. we were amazed, there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer!) sharing so much history and insight along the way that really brought the region to life and curated the perfect tour. His driving was excellent—and he kept things running smoothly and comfortable throughout the trip. On top of that, Shiva had the perfect personality for giving us an authentic tour of the area, making the entire experience fun, engaging, and relaxed. We had a lovely day in Halstatt yesterday. Fritz our driver/guide is such a lovely and entertaining person. He is very knowledgeable and pointed out the names of mountains and other interesting things on our way and back. This was a group tour and we were with five other people. We went up the mountain . One could visit the Salt Mines and the Sky Walk but we opted out of the Salt Mines and just spent time relaxing at the Tower/restaurant with some warm hot chocolate, taking photos of the breathtaking views from the Sky Walk and just relaxing and walking around while the others did the Salt Mines. Those that went in the Salt Mines said it was a great fascinating experience and they enjoyed it. Afterwards we went down the mountain where we were met with Fritz again. He guided us towards the town, explained some things and left us on our way. After around two hours down in the town we met Fritz at a designated place and made our way back to Salzburg. This time he took another but still scenic road towards Salzburg. Halstatt is quaint. It's very pretty. Makes for some lovely photos We also enjoyed some tasty Goulash down in Halstatt. It's a full day tour and I felt it was totally worth it. Highly recommend.

We took the day trip from Salzburg to Halstatt and included the cable car with a short hike to Five Fingers. Shiva, our tour guide was incredibly accommodating throughout the tour. He even spotted me Euros so I could quickly get on the boat tour and not wait in line at the ATM until after the tour. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge about European and world history. Highly recommend!
